There have been forty-four U.S. Presidents over the past two hundred and twenty four years. Some were very successful. Of those few historians, Abraham Lincoln was one of the greatest presidents that ever live. He is responsible for preserving the union, freeing the slaves, and enacting various new policies. Our country has had quite a few Presidents in its day and with that come the good and the bad. Now, not all Presidents are either purely good or bad. There are some that mostly bad with a bit of good while others can be mostly good with a hint of bad. Now, no man is perfect by any means but there are a few Presidents that have done fantastic while in office and that have been a purely beneficial factor for our country.

He was a presence in their living rooms, he had called them my friends, and he had been at the helm of the two worst crisis of the century.” (“FDR”) The people loved his optimism and his sympathy with the less fortunate. Well it takes someone who has effective plans they can put in place to help lead this country, someone who can get the people and government on the same page (trust factor), they will have to be ready for any and everything, a leader of superior proportions. All of these traits are those that Mr. Roosevelt possess in the way he handled the Great Depression, thirteen million people out of jobs, and World War II.That is why I believe that Franklin Delano Roosevelt was truly the best president because he got stuff done, he was firm in his actions not just his voice.
