The democratic candidate Hilary Clinton announce her participation in the 2016 presidential campaign on April 15, 2015, via a YouTube video. Ever since she’s been appealing to her audience in ways that only she can. In the democratic party, her main opponent was Vermont senator, Bernie Sanders. She was able to overpass Bernie Sanders and is now head to head with Republican candidate, Donald Trump.

As a women running for president Hillary appeals to many women because she is standing up for them and opening doors for them- she is said to be representing them. She also lures women, as well as victims of bullying, because she disagrees with comments made by another opponent about the importance of a women’s image. She also connects with them by standing by the idea of the importance of being proud of who one is and encouraging others to do so. Hillary appeals to middle class families through her plans of reforming the economy in a way that is more equal and fair for the middle class including: investing in infrastructure, manufacturing and small businesses, as well as making sure they wealthy pay their fair share of taxes. Hillary is appealing to youth, debt-stricken students, and Bernie Sanders' supporters by adopting some of Bernie’s plans regarding helping those in debt due to student loans. She is working with Bernie to make sure these plans are passed, her collaboration is thus, a tactic to gain votes from the Bernie Sanders' supporters. Another group that Hillary Clinton appeals to are veterans. She does so by referencing to previous comments made by her opponent about his definition of a war hero, therefore, she is advertising that she is better fit to represent
On November 8th, 2016, the United States will finally have its presidential election for the 45th President of the United States of America. This election will be a grating race between a number of political parties and their respective nominees. Two parties are more notable than the others, the Democratic Party and the Republican Party. The Democratic Party has a well-known nominee; Hillary Clinton, who has served as secretary of state, and has been the senator of New York, she has also been the first lady of the U.S while her husband, former president Bill Clinton was in office (Hillary For America). Mrs. Hillary Clinton is mainly a candidate for president because of her experience and great attributes. Alongside Clinton is Mr. Donald J. Trump, who is the respective presidential nominee for the Republican Party. Donald Trump is a well-known billionaire real estate personnel, who rose up to his status due to his great business intellect (Donald Trump Biography). In like matter, there are other nominees for president; however, Trump and Clinton are the two that are most significant and one if not the other will eventually overtake the position as President of the United States. Both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are formidable
The Kids in the group were accepted to a white school about 60 years ago. Those kids were, Maurice Soles, Anna Theresser Caswell, Alfred Williams, “Poochie” Hayden, Regina Smith, Latham Gail Upton, JoAnne Boyce, Robert Thacker, Bobby Cain, Minnie Jones, and Alvah McSwain were all part of the Clinton 12. These 12 individuals changed the thought of themselves by going to 1 school. Bobby Cain, said in his in words, “The only thing I was thinking about was my saftey of entering the school”. I bet that was pretty scary for that whole group not just Bobby.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A., she attended Wellesley College, then earning a J.D. (Juris Doctor) from Yale Law School in 1973. This hardworking presidential candidate is a woman who’s been fighting for children and families for over forty years. Someone who has provided her best works in reaching over the limits of a woman and providing millions of children with health care. This person is Hillary Clinton, and these are the only some of the biggest accomplishments she has made during her lifetime, there can and will be more if she gets voted as President of the United States of 2016-2020. She has been through many experiences in government, such as being an American lawyer and politician, U.S.
In the third paragraph, Hillary Clinton appealed to the emotions of her audience by using the fallacy of ad misericordiam, which appeals to pity, while describing the treatment of LGBT youth in the inner city and suburbs. The presidential nominee argued, “You can get married on Saturday, post your pictures on Sunday and get fired on Monday. That's why we've got to continue the forward march of progress” (para. 5). That is an example of Clinton making a hasty generalization. She informed her audience of an isolated case and presented it as normal, recurring event. The majority of Clinton’s sixth paragraph employed the fallacy of ad populum. She only explained her plans for office as it pertained to her audience. Her audience was at a fundraiser for leaders and supporters of LGBT rights, thus she only explained her plans to uplift the LGBT community and nothing else. Clinton used the bandwagon appeal to refer to Donald Trump’s supporters when she called to put half of them in a group called the “basket of deplorables” (para. 7). Donald Trump’s supporters are often the subject of attention because of their colorful tactics and Hillary Clinton tried to cash in on that. Lastly, the Democratic presidential nominee also employed the logical fallacy of faulty cause and effect. It is evident when she said, “We will win if people turn out to vote. There is no doubt in my mind that we will win” (para. 10). Hillary Clinton is trying to
In this address Clinton uses a combination of all three to try to convince people of her being the right candidate for the job. Clinton’s rhetoric depends largely on the fact of her being relatable in comparison to the millionaire Trump who makes up the much envied American and criticized elite.
We might have numerous questions with us for supporting Hilary Clinton and we might be curious to know about why we should stand with Hilary for this upcoming presidential election? Hilary will make a history in America for being the first President of United State. Though America is one of the most powerful country in the world none of the woman has taken the position of president yet. So, Hilary will be the first woman president of America, we should be proud of having her as the first Madam President of United State of America soon. She should be a president not only because she is a woman but her experience of working as the first lady, secretary of the state, senator and her working background and knowledge what she has possessed deserves the right to be the
As the next election is soon to approaching I have noticed that the presidential nominees are no more than a joke to the other people that have served this great country as the presidents of the united states.
Bill Clinton is an American politician who served as the 42nd President of the United States from 1993 to 2001. Bill spent the first six years of his life in Hope, Arkansas, where he was born on August 19, 1946. Bill’s father, William Jefferson Blythe, died in a car accident several months before his mother, Virginia Cassidy Blythe, gave birth to him. Bill has two brothers and one sister, Roger Clinton, Henry Leon Ritzenthaler and Sharon Lee Blythe. Bill Clinton attended Yale Law School, School of Foreign Service, Hot Springs High School, University College Oxford, St. John’s Catholic Elementary School, Ramble Elementary, Yale University, and Georgetown University. Clinton worked as a clerk for the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations
She creates a solid foundation for her eventual call to action by clearly stating her trust in Clinton. Obama claims, “there is only one person… who I believe is truly qualified to be the President of the Unites States… Hillary Clinton.” With this statement, she leaves the audience with no confusion of why she is there, and exactly what message she is sharing with the audience. Equally important are the several examples Obama utilizes to support this claim. She gives a brief summary of all the political positions Clinton has held in her career, beginning with “advocating for kids with disabilities as a young lawyer” to how she “proudly stepped up to serve our country once again as Secretary of State”. Obama also shares a more insightful, personal observation of Clinton’s steadfast determination. and how that is what the First Lady admires most about the nominee. These factors serve to once again bolster Clinton’s image as an ideal presidential candidate. After creating a sound foundation, Obama is able to leave an enthusiastic audience with a powerful call to action they are eager to follow. She begs the public to “pour every last ounce of our passions and our strength and our love for this country into electing Hillary Clinton as the President of the United States of America.” The use of polysyndeton works with patriotic appeals formulate an excellent call to action, leaving the audience
Clinton because his wife is currently going through some allegations herself. Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton positioned himself as a centrist or New Democrat. He was still relatively unknown nationally before the primary season. That quickly changed, however, when a woman named Gennifer Flowers appeared in the press to reveal allegations of an affair. Clinton rebutted the story by appearing on 60 Minutes with his wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton. I feel that its too soon to predict what Hillary Clintons outcomes of the current ongoing investigation of her scandalous actions of handling sensitive and top secret information through unsecured servers and personal emails. I do believe that Hillary Clinton (as sad as it is to admit it) will win the nomination. However I do believe that more information is going to be revealed about her scandal just as Mr. Clintons in 1998 and in return, ruining and staining her
First Lady Michelle Obama has always been one known for her inspiring speeches and her commitment to women’s rights. In Manchester, New Hampshire, she is seen once again standing up for women and for this country by opening the public’s eyes to disrespect Donald Trump has shown for us. Throughout the entire speech the three rhetorical appeals of pathos, ethos, and logos, are all used effectively and powerfully to get her message across. She mainly targets the audience of empowered women but she also addresses the effect that voting for Donald Trump will have for men and women. Through the rhetorical appeals and the tone, she sets for her audience, Michelle Obama campaigns for the presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
She begins by establishing her credibility by stating the efforts that she has done to assist black and Hispanic children. Then she goes on to appeal to logic by agreeing with her audiences concerns but also rationally adding to those and formulizing what needs to be done address the situation. Hilary Clinton states that there “has to be a reckoning I agree with that …but there has to be some positive vision and plan that you can move people toward…once you say that you know this country has not recovered from its original sin, which is true….the next question is what I’m I supposed to do about it...because in politics if you can’t explain it and you can’t sell it stays on the shelf”. Clinton uses pathos by using historic movements throughout history that her audience can relate to such as the civil rights movement and comparing those to the# BlackLivesMatter movement. Clinton states “this is now, a moment in time just like the civil rights movement the people behind that conscience reason and advocacy they had a plan ready to go and your analysis is totally fair…but you’re going to have together as a movement and say here is what I want done about
Hillary Clinton is a political veteran of the Democratic Party who first had her start in national politics as a First Lady, using her power as a first lady to enact several policies such as the Adoption and Safe Families Act, which created unprecedented protections to foster children. It is no surprise that Hillary has kept herself involve in the political scene by joining the United Nations as an ambassador and most recently as a secretary of state under President Obama for two terms. Today she is taking it step further and has her sights on the White House to continue the works she had during her time as a secretary of state during a time where racial tensions have run feverishly high within the African American community. Her ads have been aimed at quenching the fires that burn the citizens of the United States and bringing order to a society on the verge of chaos. Recently, she has created various ads during her candidacy to show her resolve on these matters. The ad “Stand” attempts to persuade views to vote for Hillary Clinton by appealing obviously to the value of justice and more subtly to the values of hope and unity.
With the 2016 Presidential Election approaching, the citizens of the United States of America have chosen Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump as presidential candidates. The two competitors have been receiving quite a lot of attention from the media, exposing the controversies that they have been involved in. Some voters will focus on and base their votes off of these controversies rather than how each candidate will handle the United States’ problems. However, it is essential for voters to be aware of what each nominee will work towards in their four years of having power over our nation. The people should be informed of the stance of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump on the important issues that affect them and the country. By being knowledgeable about each candidate’s vision for America, voters will be able to analyze the pair of nominees and the actions that they will take to advance the U.S.
In the Democratic primaries Hillary Clinton can expect to receive little competition as it is much less oversaturated then the Republican race with her only opposition being Bernie Saunders. In the presidential race Hillary Clinton is clearly the best known candidate as American voters have already been familiarized with her from her time serving as First Lady to President Bill Clinton during his time in office, as well as her time serving as the United States Secretary of state. This is not her first time being a candidate in the primaries as she ran in the 2008 presidential
