The industrial revolution was Industrial Revolution was q transition to new manufacturing processes from the years of 1760 to sometime between 1820 and 1840.
This time period is know for the switch from hand making items and goods to switching over to new machines and chemical manufacturing processes that increased production from the rise of factory systems and the need for creation of usable goods and items The main industry that really flourished and dominated the factory setting was the textile industry especially in terms of employment, sales of product, and the use of newer production methods.

In the late 18th and most of the 19th century, the Western world experienced a boom in industrial technology. Commonly known as the Industrial Revolution, this time period saw a shift from working by hand to working with machinery to produce goods. Steam and water power developed immensely as well as other machines to produce exports. During this time there was a rise of factories for manufactured products, most commonly textiles. The Industrial Revolution sparked a need for raw materials to produce these goods and to build machinery. Thus, the Industrial Revolution sparked major economic developments in Latin America, and led to the its ethnic composition being changed.
Before the machines were invented there were only women to do the job. Let's suppose that a woman could make one skirt a day before the invention and after the change in technology she could make 50. The good part of the lowell mill girls was that it could make hundreds a day. But the bad part of technology was that the workers did not have a job and the workers would not have enough money to buy food for their family. Also the bosses could just buy more slaves to pick the cotton. Without a doubt, technology in the 1800s machines could mass produce.
The Industrial Revolution was a time period of rapid growth in society. Referring to the 1700’s century in England where the output of machine made goods greatly increased. Prior to the changes made during the Industrial Revolution, workers often manufactured products in their homes using handtools and basic machinery. However, industrialization marked a shift of labor from small farms in rural areas to large factories in cities and was a time of new products, inventions and methods of work. The results of the Industrial Revolution led to many positive outcomes because new cultivation methods spread rapidly around the world. The Industrial Revolution made a significant political, economical, and social change throughout Europe. The Industrial
British cotton textile industry grew into the worlds most productive; its railway network became the nation’s principal means of inland transportation and communication; and a new fleet of steam-powered ships enabled Britain to project its new productivity and power around the globe.
According to Factory systems (document 7), the cotton spinning mill help made clothes a lot cheaper because everyone could have their own Factory system. This was very helpful because resources were more easy to access and everyone had it available to them. Also, according to document 4, clothes were made faster and cheaper and with the new invention called the Power Loom it was a lot more productive. The Power Loom impacted daily life by making clothes at a much faster rate and providing more products for everyone.

Working conditions during this period were not at all like they are today.
The industrial revolution was very important to the people back then.immigrant named samuel slater had established in pawtucket, rhode island, the first successful mechanized textile factory in America. Slaters factory and those modeled after it still only mass-produced one part of the textile, or finished clothes. In 1813, three Bostonians revolutionized the american textile industry by mechanizing all the stages in the manufacture of cloth.
INDUSTRY: The industry interest me because they made and sold so many things. The fact that they could make cloths and clothes with the small amount of technology they had. Many people nowadays cant even sew something together using a sewing machine. There were many workers employed and they didn’t just make cloth. Metals and perfumes were also made, they must have been very smart. This interests me because they were able to make all this with hardly any
Industrial Revolution- Post Civil War - late 1800's. Moved business operations from an emphasis on independent skilled workers who specialized on building products one by one to a factory system that mass produced items by bringing together large numbers of semi skilled workers.
In order to get our information on the innovation and impact of the textile mills, as a group we gathered information from various places and did extensive research on our topic. We found a great quantity of information by visiting the Upland Public Library, surfing numerous websites, collecting many primary interviews,

The textile factory system of the United Kingdom was mainly located around the areas of Greater Manchester and the towns of Pennines and Lancashire. These areas would become the bedrock of the textile industry in Britain, as Rosen states: ‘The true industrialization of Britain, and subsequently, the world, depended on a commodity that could attract consumers not by the thousands, but the millions’ . A commodity, like, for example: cotton.
