Intern Projects
Below I have compiled a quick list of all the projects that I worked on while I was at Garmin AT and my role in the project. All the proprietary information has been removed so some details may be intentionally vague.
Major Projects
• Flight Data Logging – Gathered flight data from many parts of the system in 1 second intervals. Built a page that would allow exporting of this data to an SD card by the end user.
• WAAS Data Logging – Gathered WAAS data as it was being sent to our system and stored the information in its own logs. Also allowed exporting of this data to an SD card by the end user.
• Dynamic Debug Page – I created the page to allow debugging messages from the system to be toggled on or off by

• Obstacle DB Integration – I wrote the requirements for the integration of the obstacle database for the system I was working on.
• Mock up UI Options – The pages I created all had to be accessed from other pages. Because of this we had to do a review of how the pages would look after I had changed them to ensure they still met Garmin standards. I had to adjust the size of some icons, text, and move buttons around. In many cases I submitted multiple different possible layouts for the changed pages so that our UI team could pick the option that looked best.
• Wiki Pages - Created a wiki page for new hires and interns on our team to show them how to use the GIT repo our team had. This shows how to get it set up and how to use the features of GIT that were used on the team I was on.
Main Project Details
Probably the single best project that describes my internship is the data logging project. This was a project that I was given almost a month after I started but also lasted until almost the end of my internship. This was also one of the largest projects I worked on that I can discuss in enough detail to explain why it describes my internship.
This was a great project for any intern or new employee because of the amount of exposure that it gave to the codebase. It required pieces of many different part of the Garmin libraries as there was a lot of information that went into the logs. Because of this, I had to gain more understanding
With its great success in Singapore, a GPS based system like the iCall seemed like the perfect fit for Taiwan Taxi. The company had plans of expanding its membership to 20,000 and believed the iCall would help it achieve this goal. Unfortunately, the iCall did not bring the success that Taiwan Taxi hoped it would which left management questioning why the system worked so well in one country and not the other. The answer to this lies in the cultural differences and a lack of understanding of the Taiwan labor force that is currently working in the taxi industry. In order to successfully implement the iCall in Taiwan, management needs to tie value to the system in order to gain support from its employees and the

6. There has been a rapid growth in the valve revenues due to the new oil shale discoveries in Louisiana and Texas; therefore it would make it hard to find a false billing scheme because the revenues are rising anyway. In this case, companies are willing to pay a lot of money for a product, making it difficult to find the difference in high dollar invoices between invoices for quick deliveries or for false billing schemes.
Frigaliment Importing Co. V. B.N.S International Sales Textbook P. 117 Facts Frigaliment Importing and B.N.S Corporation came into agreement that B.N.S will provide chickens for sale to Frigaliment. The contract contained two separate shipments in which each shipment contained different weighted chicken. Frigaliment received the first shipment and noticed that the heavier chickens were older chicken that were meant for stewing not frying. Frigaliment immediately sto24pped the second shipment and sued that they did not provide the right type of chicken in which they were asking for young chickens. B.N.S (the defendant) states that chicken can mean anything as long as they are in the same
In Panama City Beach, Florida, drinking on the beach during Spring Break is illegal, but that is only one month out of the year. Panama City Beach is a tourist town and it relies on people coming from all over the world to visit. The busiest months are during Spring Break and when summer vacation starts. Right now, the law only states drinking any kind of alcohol on the beach during March is illegal and bars that are on the beach front must close at 2 am. The law should be changed to include drinking on the beach during the summer months illegal. If drinking on the beach during Spring Break and the summer months was made illegal fewer people would end up dying while vacationing, less sexual assaults, it will cut down on underage drinking, and the crime rate.
My interest for the Attorney Advisor position with the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) arises from my longstanding commitment to constantly improve myself. I have always enjoyed legal research, writing, and the complexities of intellectual property. I have no doubt that my enthusiasm to research, my eagerness to learn, and my strong ability to communicate clearly, work efficiently, accurately, and quickly, will make me an invaluable asset to the USPTO. I believe these traits combined with my unique skillset, developed as a result of experiences working for the Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball (Diamondbacks), Nike Inc. (Nike), and the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, Liability Management Department (AG Office)
