Production practices have had an important role in satisfying the dynamic market. Many approaches have being developed in order to respond effectively to specific business requirements. In fact, some areas of management have focused its study on the overseeing, designing, and controlling the process of production in an effort to find the best methodology that ensures the business success and performance. However, complexities arise in this field because many variables such as costs, inventory, scheduling, suppliers, etc have to be considered in any business. Lean approach and the traditional approach are two points of view that aim to address this complexities, and those will be examined in this essay.

Some of the disadvantages are: limiting the vendors may limit the variety of products, relinquishing inventory control over to vendors and distributors may negatively impact their customer satisfaction, and the customers may decide to deal with supplier directly which could put Best Buy at risk of loosing their business.

After winning junior tournaments I wanted more and therefore; I challenged myself to the next level. Currently, I am going to school to receive a degree in Business Administration. I have worked for In-N-Out Burger for over three years, and plan to use my degree to move up in the company. As of July 7, 2015, I was hired in the corporate office for In-N-Out Burger to work in their Customer Service Department. This is a promotion for me, as I was working in the restaurant before. I plan to continue moving up in the company, even more so when I have my degree. I want to secure a positon in Human Resources for the company.

On March 9, 2015, the academic team including the building-level teacher, classroom teachers, and parents met to discuss Michael’s academic abilities and the possibility of promoting Michael into the 2nd grade. The academic team considered Michael’s academic abilities and social maturity and determined it was in Michael’s best interest to place him into the 2nd grade. It was agreed upon that the academic team would monitor Michael’s progress and consider academic placement at the conclusion of the 2014-2015 academic year.
