My Life Purpose As far as I know, a few people in this world are born to do great things. I am here trying to find myself. I 'm here at college to figure it out, whether I want to go into environmental science, chemistry, criminal justice, or something completely different. I 'm eager to try out new things and meet new people, and hopefully find something that I am exceptional at. Music is my life purpose. Music is a huge part of my life. I love to sing. I started choir when i was in 6th grade. Having to write this paper is making me really miss my choir family. We have our ups and downs, but what family doesn’t? My freshmen year of high school, I was in the show choir group called Chambers, it is basically the beginning choir. But my goal was to make it into Crescendoz (which is the advance choir). My sophomore year I got into Prelude (which is the intermediate choir). My junior year of high school, I audition for Crescendoz and I made it in. I was so ecstatic. I was singing the altos part (it’s the best part, if I do say so myself). An alto is the lowest female singing range. Crescendoz only had four female altos, so that means that we had to sing loud and to make sure we were being heard. Senior year we had a few more altos join the class. “We can’t fix your mistakes, if you do not sing out” my choir teacher said. Saying goodbye was the hardest. On the day of commencement, we were singing our last song and I started bawling on stage. Knowing that was the last time I
On 08/04/16 at 8:42pm, I was dispatched to 2087 S. Hamilton Rd, on a injury dangerous or vicious dog/injured dog, serious injury, involving a Columbus Police Officer (CPD) being bit by a dog and shooting dog. I arrived at the location. I was advised my CPD personnel that the CPD Officer that was bite was transported to the hospital and that the dog was still breathing. I was escorted to the area where the dog was. The dog was on the ground, next to the dog was dog owner Jackie Fate. I was unable to see any visible injuries to the dog, the dog had shallow breathing. I asked Ms. Fate to wrap the leash around the dog’s mouth to prevent the dog from biting her or me while I placed the dog on the stretcher. Ms. Fate complied, I slowly guided the dog on the
I was ten, the most terrifying event I had been through was riding the little dragon roller coaster at the fair, but that night changed it all. The fear that started in my head spread like wildfire to the rest of my body from the tips of my fingers to the bottoms of my toes. My heart was racing so fast that it could have beat Usain Bolt in a 100m dash. Stop, drop and roll, three steps that should have come naturally, but instead I froze, looked down at my yellow and black checkered flannel in complete terror, fearing for my life.
It's a fundamental belief of mine that each one of us is brought upon this world with a major definite purpose in life. Everyone has a unique destiny for contributing to this world using their unique blend of talents and passions. I have no doubt that most people today work hard and stay busy with daily activities. The problem I've noticed is that many people live their lives without any sense of meaningful purpose that gives their lives passion and significance. They get caught up in the daily mechanical routines of life and they become creatures of habit rather than purpose-driven beings. Finding and shaping your major definite purpose is perhaps the most important thing that you will ever do in your life because your purpose is the driving force that spawns all the achievements that you will ever accomplish and it provides that unlimited source of motivation that drives you to achieve all the goals that you set for yourself and enables you to live life to the fullest.
I had always assumed that my legs were strong and that I had decent muscle control, however, this thought was proven wrong at the beginning of my junior year in high school due to a detrimental injury. It was the first game of fall league for basketball, and within the first five minutes I had succumbed to an injury. Tearing my ACL and Meniscus has taught me to continue improving on my strength, not let this one injury keep me down, and to keep a positive mindset.
“Life is like a box of chocolates you never know what your gonna get” (Gump, Forest) sounds familiar huh? When I ponder on the idea of an electrifying episode in my life, I think about the unexpected things that have happened. However something out of the ordinary “tickled my fancy”. After all my years of thinking it was impossible, the improvable became reality. Now just for a second I want you to sit back, relax, and enjoy my journey of becoming Student Body President.

From a young age, athletics were a very important part of my life and soccer was my passion. Whether it was playing on boy’s teams and summer leagues, or refereeing tournaments and coaching soccer camps, I was constantly trying to improve my game. When I came to college, I was excited to have the opportunity to continue playing soccer. Unfortunately, I received several concussions and I had some complications that ultimately forced me to stop playing soccer after my sophomore year. At first I was distraught, all of my personal goals were gone and I was no longer working with my teammates toward the goals we set together. However, I realized I needed to find new interests and new objectives to work towards during the rest of my time in college.
I was very tired, I left my house at about 6 am on Saturday morning and had been coaching all day under the sun, it is not uncommon for me to miss an exit or take the wrong exit when I’m feeling that tired. Besides that fact if I kept on going north I could have stayed at my sister’s house who lives in Belleville NJ.
Being healthy and staying active is not something my family has been worried about. I have to be honest,I thought the same thing before I started wrestling. I ate anything I wanted too, I was not too active. I like to sleep in and play video games. I was out of shape and couldn’t run very far without losing my breath. This all changed when I started to wrestle.
The most nerve-wracking ordeal for any singer is executing a solo. Performing in an ensemble can be stressful in its own way, but making an error in that setting is far less of a problem. If one vocalist sings slightly flat or enters at the wrong time, it is hardly noticeable and is typically covered up by the rest of the choir. However, this safety net does not exist for the solo singer. All of the pressure to sing with near perfection falls squarely on your shoulders.
As I grew up in Northern Virginia in the middle class suburbs of Washington, DC, I suppose I had a typical childhood. I played on a girls’ volleyball team and joined the varsity cheerleading squad. I did other “girly” things like hair, nails, makeup, mall shopping and parties. Not so typical was the fact that I lived with my mother, my stepfather and six siblings. We have always been a close knit family who did several things together. Our regular quality time included movies and home entertainment with casual soul food dinners for friends and family. Museums, beaches, resorts, theme parks and other tourist attractions within a five hour driving radius were about the extent of our special group outings. At school,
Personal Narrative I am listening for the sound of the front door. I know for certain
I never really thought about where my life was going. I always believed life took me where I wanted to go, I never thought that I was the one who took myself were I wanted to go. Once I entered high school I changed the way I thought. This is why I chose to go to college. I believe that college will give me the keys to unlock the doors of life. This way I can choose for myself where I go instead of someone choosing for me.
The consideration of the purpose of life has been ongoing and is never-ending throughout the course of history. The question itself has caused many people to generate many different strong views and opinions based on traditional, ideological backgrounds, and religious outlooks. The deliberation about the meaning of life will never end since there is not one reassuring basic, general answer. Instead, examine the question in another way, like, “What is my purpose in life?” The purpose of life varies from one person to another because of “free will.” While some people believe that for every human, life is called to some divine duty by God, everyone has a different drive that is waiting to be discovered within themselves, and people must set
This explains the beginning of my life all the way to the end of my life. My life from the beginning was very fun as I grew up living with my mom’s friend and my friend. But there were a lot of fights and I was very hyper back then. I have ADHD so back then when I was little; I was very hyper and wouldn't stop moving around the place. I always was annoying back then and never seemed to get my homework done at school.
