Ependymal cells are one of the types of glial cells that are found in the central nervous system (CNS). The ependymal cell is much similar to the mucosal epithelial cells, as they are found in the central canal of the spinal cord and in ventricles of the brain that are filled will the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). These ependymal cells are ciliated that prevent the back-flow of the CSF.
