Advantages and disadvantages of using lithium ion batteries in electrical devices should be discussed.
Concept Introduction:
Lithium ion batteries are type of dry cell batteries. Dry cell batteries do not consist with liquid electrolyte. In a lithium ion battery, anode is porous graphite into which Li+ are intercalated. Cathode is normally LiCoO2. Nowadays there are lithium ion batteries which are rechargeable.
