Concept explainers
Create a second NumberDisplay object with a limit of 60, and give it the name minutes. Call its increment method and note how the method calls are represented in the Terminal window. Imagine that the hours and minutes objects on the object bench represent the two NumberDisplay objects managed by a ClockDisplay object. In effect, you are now performing the role of the C1ockDisplay object. What should you do each time you call increment on minutes to decide whether it has rolled over and whether increment should therefore be called on the hours object?

- This is for pygame Text Class The Text class inherits from Drawable and it will be used to display the player’s score. You must implement at the very least the required methods of the base class (draw and get_rect), as well as a constructor. You may need to implement other methods as part of the public interface. This is the Drawable Classarrow_forwardYou are going to be working with class Rational which defines rational number objects. A rational number is a number that can be written as a fraction. A rational number consists of a numerator and a denominator (which cannot be 0). Rational numbers also have the ability to be displayed in an original form, decimal form or reduced form. You are going to be completing various object methods to perform the tasks previously list. You are to begin with the Rational Class and RationalTest classes provided. Make all modifications outlined in the point values below. Pay close attention to the names of the attributes, methods and return values. You are given starter files and the test files necessary. Only modify class Rational and keep the function headers provided to you for all of Part 1. You will need to add your own methods for Part 2. Part 1a This version requires that you complete the constructor, getOriginal(), and getDecimal() methods of class Rational. Constructor: at this stage…arrow_forwardIn this assignment, you will need to add a new method to the Date class, which you can find on D2L in the "Sample Code" section. The new method should make a Date object's day, month, and year value change to the next day. In other words, add one day to the object's current date. Do not use any part of the built-in DateTime class, but you may want to use the DaysInMonth() method from the Date class. Examples: • If the Date object stores the date 12/31/2021, then after calling your method it should store the date 1/1/2022 • If the Date object stores the date 2/28/2022, then after calling your method it should store the date 3/1/2022 As noted in the common instructions, you only need to turn in your new method, not the entire Date class.arrow_forward
- Add a toString method to your Account class. For the purposes of this assignment, please use the toString display the following: This account contains $x. You have earned $y in the last month. where x is the account balance (please don't format the decimals) and y is the monthly interest earned, obtained from the getMonthlyInterest method. Compile and test in a driver by creating and printing an Account object. Add an equals method to your Account class. Two Account objects are equal if their balance and annualInterestRates are equal. Compile and test in your driver by creating 2 Account objects to see if they are equal.arrow_forwardCreate one more method in the Starship class: encounter(self, enemy_ship) This method takes in self, along with another Starship object. The method should simulate a battle between the two ships. How the method is implemented is almost entirely up to you. You could take in user input for each crew member, or have them each act randomly from the available options, or specify exactly what a given crew member of each type should do. The only requirements are as follows: Each crew member on each ship should get at least one “turn” before the battle is complete. If the crew member is Injured on their turn, they should do nothing. You may assume that each ship will have at least one crew member uninjured when the encounter begins. You shouldn’t make any assumptions about how many crew members there will be on a given ship, where they will start, or about which subclasses will be present - it’s possible that you’ll have test cases including a ship with no captain, or no doctor.…arrow_forwardOpen the clock-display project and create a ClockDisplay object by selecting the following constructor: new ClockDisplay() Call its getTime method to find out the initial time the clock has been set to. Can you work out why it starts at that particular time?arrow_forward
- Read the instructions below and write your code using Microsoft Visual Studio (Community version). Build your own console application with C#. Write a Rectangle class, the private data members are the length (len) and width (wid) of the rectangle, the parameterless constructor sets len and wid to 0, and the parameterized constructor sets the value of length (len) and width (wid). In addition, the class also includes common methods such as calculating the perimeter of the rectangle, calculating the area of the rectangle, obtaining the length value of the rectangle, obtaining the width value of the rectangle, and modifying the length and width values of the rectangle to the corresponding formal parameter values. Please upload your executable C# file as attachment in the system.arrow_forwardThis is for pygame Ball Class: The Ball class inherits from Drawable and it will draw a circle at its current location. This is the Drawable Classarrow_forwardYou will create a couple of classes that could be used to create a Text Adventure game. The class will be called "Item" and will represent an item in the game that can be carried and used by a player (such as a weapon or a tool). The Item Class The Item class will have only one property: A string description. The Item class will have exactly 3 methods: There will be a default constructor that takes no parameters. This constructor will give a generic, default description of the Item. There will be a constructor that takes a string parameter, and it will initialize the Item's description based on the parameter. There will be a method called "print" that will print the Item's description to standard output. PLEASE MAKE SURE ITS POSSIBLE TO COMPILE WITH THIS CODE. THANKS. #include "Item.h" #include <iostream> #include <string> using namespace std; int main() { Item sword("Sword of Destiny"); Item potion("Healing Potion"); Item key("Key of Wisdom"); string name; cout…arrow_forward
- For this lab task, you will work with classes and objects. Create a class named text that works similar to the built-in string class. You will need to define a constructor that can be used to initialize objects of this new class with some literal text. Next, define three methods: to_upper() that will convert all characters to uppercase, reverse() that will reverse the text and length() that will return the length of the text. After you have completed this part, copy the following mainfunction to your code and check if the implementation is correct. int main() { text sample = "This is a sample text"; cout << sample.to_upper(); // This should display "THIS IS A SAMPLE TEXT" cout << endl;cout << sample.reverse(); // This should display "txet elpmas a si sihT"cout << endl; cout << sample.length(); // This should display 21 }arrow_forwardPlease help me create a cave class for a Hunt the Wumpus game. You can read the rules in it's entirety of the Hunt the Wumpus game online to get a better idea of the specifications. It's an actual game. INFORMATION: The object of this game is to find and kill the Wumpus within a minimum number of moves, before you get exhausted or run out of arrows. There is only one way to win: you must discover which room the Wumpus is hiding in and kill it by shooting an arrow into that room from an adjacent room. The Cave The Wumpus lives in a cave of 30 rooms. The rooms are hexagonal. Each room has up to 3 tunnels, allowing access to 1, 2 or 3 (out of 6) adjacent rooms. The attached diagram shows the layout of rooms in the cave. The map wraps around such that rooms on the edges (white cells) have neighbors from the opposite edge (blue cells). E.g., the neighbors of room 1 are rooms 25, 26, 2, 7, 6, and 30, and you could choose to connect room 1 to any of these rooms.
