86 cents can be given as
3 quarter (s) 1 dime (s) and 1 penny (pennies)
Use coin denominations of 25 cents (quarters), 10 cents (dimes), and 1 cent (pennies). Do not use nickel and half-dollar coins. Your program will use the following function (among others):
void computeCoin(int coinValue, int& number, int& amountLeft) ;
//Precondition: 0 < coinValue < 100 ; 0 <= amountLeft < 100.
//Postcondition: number has been set equal to the maximum number
//of coins of denomination coinValue cents that can be obtained
//from amountLeft cents. amountLeft has been decreased by the
//value of the coins, that is, decreased by number*coinValue.
For example, suppose the value of the variable amountLeft is 86. Then, after the following call, the value of number will be 3 and the value of amountLeft will be
11 (because if you take three quarters from 86 cents, that leaves 1 1 cents):
computeCoins (25, number, amountLeft) ;
Include a loop that lets the user repeat this computation for new input values until the user says he or she wants to end the program. (Hint: Use integer division and the operator to implement this function.)

- A county collects property takes on the assessment value of property, which is 60 percent of the property's actual value. For example, if an acre of land is valued at #10,000, it assessment value is $6,000. The property tax is then 72 cents for each $100 of the assessment value. The tax for the acre assessed at $6,000 will be $43.20. Write a program that asks for the actual value of a piece of property and displays the assessment value and property tax.arrow_forwardWrite a program that can be used to calculate the federal tax. The tax is calculated as follows: For single people, the standard exemption is $4,000; for married people, the standard exemption is $7,000. A person can also put up to 6% of his or her gross income in a pension plan. The tax rates are as follows: If the taxable income is: Between $0 and $15,000, the tax rate is 15%. Between $15,001 and $40,000, the tax is $2,250 plus 25% of the taxable income over $15,000. Over $40,000, the tax is $8,460 plus 35% of the taxable income over $40,000. - A parking garage charges a $2.00 minimum fee to park for up to three hours. The garage charges an additional $0.50 per hour for each hour or part thereof in excess of three hours. The maximum charge for any given 24-hour period is $10.00. Assume that no car parks for longer than 24 hours at a time. Write a program that calculates and prints the parking charges for each of three customers who parked their cars in this garage yesterday. You should enter the hours parked for each customer. Your program should print the results in a neat tabular format and should calculate and print the total of yesterday’s receipts. The program should use the function calculateCharges to determine the charge for each customer. Your outputs should appear in the following format Sample output Enter the hours parked for 3 cars: 1.5 4.0 24.0 Car Hours Charge 1 1.5 2.00 2 4.0 2.50 3 24.0 10.00 TOTAL 29.5 14.50arrow_forwardWrite a program that can be used to calculate the federal tax. The store sells only three books, designated by their authors: Cervantes ($41.25 each), Homer ($15.85 each), and Shakespeare ($30.50 each). - Sometimes we write similar letters to different people. For example, you might write to your parents to tell them about your classes and your friends and to ask for money; you might write to a friend about your love life, your classes, and your hobbies; and you might write to your brother about your hobbies and your friends and to ask for money. Write a program that prints similar letters such as these to three people of your choice. Each letter should have at least one paragraph in common with each of the other letters. Your main program should have three method calls, one for each of the people to whom you are writing. Try to isolate repeated tasks into methods.arrow_forwardDriving is expensive. Write a program with a car's miles/gallon and gas dollars/gallon (both floats) as input, and output the gas cost for 10 miles, 50 miles, and 400 miles. Output the gas cost (gasCost) with two digits after the decimal point, which can be achieved as follows:Put gasCost to output with 2 decimal places Ex: If the input is: 20.0 3.1599 the output is: 1.58 7.90 63.20 Note: Small expression differences can yield small floating-point output differences due to computer rounding. Ex: (a + b)/3.0 is the same as a/3.0 + b/3.0 but output may differ slightly. Because our system tests programs by comparing output, please obey the following when writing your expression for this problem. First use the dollars/gallon and miles/gallon values to calculate the dollars/mile. Then use the dollars/mile value to determine the cost per 10, 50, and 400 miles. Note: Real per-mile cost would also include maintenance and depreciation.arrow_forwardf. A laborant in a laboratory does a number of antigen tests in one day. Write a program that simulates the number of antigen tests done in a day in a laboratory, displays the number of positives and negatives, and calculates the % of positives in one day. Your program needs to first generate a random number that will show the number of tests done in a day. One laboratory in a day cannot do more than 100 tests and less than 1 (they do at least one). Then for each of the tests, your program needs to generate a random number to show whether they are positive or negative. In order to write this program, you need to have the following three functions used by the main function: test result (void): This function generates a test result. It should randomly return either one or zero. 1 means positive test result and 0 means negative test result. float positive percentage (int,int) : This function takes the total number of positives and the total number of tests and returns the % of positives.…arrow_forward
- Write a program that implements a tip calculator. Your program should ask the user for the bill amount and the percentage of the tip, and then output the dollar amount of the tip and the final bill in three different formats. (see sample below) Example: Enter the bill amount: 27.95 Enter tip percentage: 17 A 17.0% tip on $27.95 equals $4.7515. The total bill is: 32.701499999999996 The total bill is $32.7. The program should use rand twice to roll the first die and second die, respectively. The sum of the two values should then be calculated. [Note: Because each die can show an integer value from 1 to 6, then the sum of the two values will vary from 2 to 12, with 7 being the most frequent sum and 2 and 12 the least frequent sums.] Figure below shows the 36 possible combinations of the two dice. Your program should roll the two dice 36,000 times Use a one- dimensional array to tally the numbers of times each possible sum appears. Print the results in a tabular format. Also, determine if the totals are reasonable; i.e., there are six ways to roll a 7, so approximately one-sixth of all the rolls should be 7. 5 3 4. 56 7 2 4 5 6 7 8 3 4 56 7 8 9 5 6 7 8 9 10 4 5 7 8 9 10 11 6 7 8 9 10 11 12arrow_forward
