The post-Civil War, also known as the extended period that came to be known as the Gilded Age, was largely centered around and influenced by big business and corporations. The newfound efficiency of resources and mass production resulted in a wide variety of available products but also a wide divide between classes and a misdistribution of power that led to the forming of unions and passing of anti-trust legislation. Big business employed money and power to control and manipulate the economy and politics to their own advantage through dishonest means and exploitation of poor immigrants. The Civil War was fought from April 12th 1861 to the spring of 1865 in the United States. During the civil war, 62,000 men died fighting in the civil war. It is known for being the most bloodiest war fought in the U.S. The question to this war is, how did it the Civil War start? What were the reason to go to battle and fight each other inside the U.S. The biggest concern about the Civil War was that the Union and the Confederacy had different views of seing how to run their side.

Good Question. I'm here to answer them. But first let's talk about what it was. It was a war in the United States of America about the North and South. America was splitting up side vs side. The Union vs The Confederates. Now back to why everything got messed up and had a war and a half million lives lost. The United States of America had a Civil War because slavery, sectionalism, and disagreements about compromises.

There are various issues that led to the secession of the South, and eventually to the American Civil War. From the time period of 1846 to 1860 many things occurred that contributed to the shift to war and the secession of Southern States, but three things that brought forth both the secession and war was The Bleeding of Kansas, John Brown’s Raid, and the election of Abraham Lincoln.

The Civil War didn’t start because of slavery but it did slowly turn about it and is only known for it. The civil war started because trade imbalance in between the north and south. Lincoln did not agree with the practice of slavery and was against it but knew the Border States would not support him. He knew the civil war would be a great way to stop slavery.

During the period after the civil war, Slaves became an even greater conflict of interest that divided the states. On one hand, there were various Southerners who didn’t want the end of slavery to be consummated. The South had their own selfish agenda behind why they wanted the continuous use of slaves. On the other hand, you had many Northerners who were against the South’s ideals and believed slaves had the right to be free. During this time in the 1860s, slaves had numerous effects on many aspects each states way of life. They contributed economically, split the states, and played an important role in state sessions. All of these factors ultimately led to the slaves fate, as well was the fate of the union.

Both the Union and Confederate soldiers were motivated by liberty during the war. It was just two different meanings. The North believed it to be preserving the Union and abolishing the institution of slavery, but the South viewed it as maintaining their way of life and separating from the “tyrannical” North. Northerners also felt they had a duty to preserve the Union for future generations, while the southerners felt they had to protect themselves from the invading northerners. So honor and loyalty also played a role in motivating both the Union and Confederate soldiers. Bonds that were formed in camps also compelled the men to keep on fighting for each other. Religion was another factor since the men from both sides prayed to the same God, and each felt they were right in their beliefs. News from home would also effect the men’s motivation throughout the war.

In the early 1860s, there were tensions between the northern and southern United States arguing about states’ rights versus federal authority. The slavery exploded into the American Civil War between early 1861 through mid-1865. The civil war was the bloodiest and the worst disgrace in the nation’s history. Approximately 600,000 ancestors got killed. There were many reasons that this civil war had happened. However, it was mainly about between South and Northern United States on the ideas of slavery and trade, tariffs, and states rights.

For years historians have spectulated about how the Civil War began in the first place. Some say it was slavery, others say it was many factors building together. I believe that it was two factors coming into play is what set off the war, slavery and President Lincoln’s election in 1860.

I believe, the election of Abraham Lincoln in 1860 and the differences the northern and southern states' had about the abolishment slavery played a major role in why the civil war was fought. Abraham Lincoln thoughts about slavery and the state’s rights to avoid the abolishment of slavery were different. Abraham was an anti-slavery republican who believed slavery was bad for business and he did not want to see slavery spread to other parts of the United States. He was a strong believer that you could get more people to work for money vs working for free. The ideal of people being enslaved for work was not only cruel, but it also wasn’t benefiting America’s financial state. Although, Lincoln was personally against slavery, he never said he wanted

Before the Civil War, African Americans living in America were seen and treated as lesser persons, primarily by not having voting rights and not being given equal treatment in relation to the law. When the war ended in 1865, many changes were made, some good and some bad. The bad that came from the war was that so much destruction was caused, specifically in the south; many means of transportation was ruined. Although the destruction caused a major setback, much good came about from the war, like the Thirteenth, Fourteenth, and Fifteenth Amendments. The Thirteenth Amendment, the amendment that ended slavery, states, “Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted,

The American civil war brewing in the middle 19th century because of the varying views on slavery and also because of the growing sympathy for the abolition movement. But the American civil war was unofficially started when Abraham Lincoln was elected president (who was anti-slavery): slave states started seceding from the union. And when the shots at Fort Sumter were fired, the civil war had officially begun.

The civil war began on April 12th, 1861, and ended on May 9th, 1865. It had lasted about four years. The war was between the North and South. Northern states fought to abolish slavery and southern fought for slavery and states rights. At the time our president was Abraham Lincoln. All battles were bloody and worth a fight. The result of the war reunited us together as one.

Some say it was the bloodiest battle in American history. The war lasted from 1861-1865 between the Confederacy and the Union. About 620,000 people were killed and millions were injured. This war was the American Civil War. In this war, southerners and northerners turned against each other partly because of the issue of slavery. It was a very violent war that had a huge impact on the United States as we know it today. The Civil War a product of so many issues that the northerners and southerners had against each other. They had different viewpoints and opinions on particular topics. More specifically, they had different opinions on the topic of slavery.
