This specific Robin Hood movie, released in 2010, takes a different approach than most Robin Hood movies by focusing on Robin Hood’s background. In the following essay, the historical accuracy of the movie and our resulting cultural assumptions, the ethical and moral challenges introduced, and my personal recommendation will be analyzed.

John's life seemed to be one major drama after another; he didn't have a good male role model as a kid, and it seems he never was able to get on track. What was amazing about his life was the number of problems that he seemed to get into and how he wriggled out of them (with the help of a friendly person who just happened to meet him) only to run into more problems.

The major development seen in John’s character takes place near the end of the story, as he seeks a more pure life in a remote location. John feels as though he’s been poisoned by this new civilization “I ate civilization. It poisoned me; I was defiled. And then, I ate my own wickedness.” (241). He wants to not only live a noble life, but to make this life on his own, so chooses an abandoned lighthouse, far enough away from the disaster of a community he views Brave New World as a negative place with negative ideas. This is a major change from the identity he showed before being poisoned by this civilization, but once again he stays true to his values by leading this new life on his own. John’s strong moral values prove to be the one constant in his character.

When some people hear of robin hood they think of the disney cartoon. But the disney cartoon/ movie is not the real story about him. A lot of people know him through movies, shows, ballads, and poems. Most people don’t know that those movies, poems, shows, etc. are actually based on a real person. Robin Hood existed back in the medieval times. Robin Hood was originally was called “robert hood” but everyone changed it to robin hood because they liked it better.

Robin Hood: a fictional tale, a notorious thief, or a combination of both? Robin Hood is one of the most popular cultural folk heroes known to man. Although historians have ideas regarding the livelihood of Robin Hood, none of them can undeniably prove he actually existed. There are stories that differ in ways, and because of this he is still a mystery. People have an idea of where it all started, know the different names and tales that he consists of, and know what he is known as today, yet many still do not know fact from fiction. Before trying to put other pieces of the puzzle together, people must first consider where he actually came from.

Robin Hood's good traits are easily seen throughout the story. The author did a good job of making his hero come across as a good person, who has often been misinterpreted because of things that he did as a young boy. Showing the change Robin Hood has made since he was a little boy easily allows the reader to better understand how great he really is, and how he is helping not only himself, but all of the poorer community.<br><br>Robin Hood was faced with issues from very early on in his life. His mothers death was very difficult for him, but living with his fathers love for another women, after his mother had died, was just too much for him and he threatened his father that staying with that women would cost him his only sons love. An identity crisis and erosion of self-confidence, those are what John is unfortunately going through. It may not be obvious, but peers have a large enough role, besides his family in his development (Allen &amp; Antonishak, 2008). Peer relationship actually affects how a child would excel in school as well as in the later part of life (Bukowski, Brendgen &amp; Vitaro, 2007; Song &amp; Siegel, 2008). Every individual, especially those within the younger years would have a desire to be accepted by their peers. In this case, John does not have any friends.
