In my 24 years of experience employed with the Department of Education I have found that working with children watching as they grow is inspiring as much as it is rewarding. Teaching helps one to sharpen their skills on all levels for the curriculum is forever changing. Being an educator has its challenging moments but its something I want to accomplish. To be successful at educating others I must continue to grow, increase and improve within. The Masters Degree in Education Curriculum and Instruction: Early Childhood Education will give me the skills and afford new opportunities to elevate me to next level in my career. Your curriculum will provide me with the tools to prepare me to be a well rounded educator to support the children in there academia growth. With pursuing this degree, I understand there will be various obstacles I will have to overcome. At my age going back to school so much has changed. What comes to mind first is the fear of taking classes online for the first time. Previously, I've felt most comfortable in a physical classroom setting. This experience and added exposure will strengthen my communication, computer skills and unlock new ideas brought on from the online community. …show more content…

Other schools don't afford me the benefits and experiences as Concordia with a flexible and accelerated one year masters degree program while offering the same opportunities. where as staff and academic advisors provide a one on one personal experience which is tailored to my educational needs. I particularly like the flexibility of the class schedule and time management it provides me. The struggles of paying for books and having the necessities to be a successful student is something your university doesn't want the scholar to worry
