Question
Chapter 4, Problem 4.5CTE
Interpretation Introduction
Interpretation: If cancer is due to decrease in the hydrogen bond angle in water from or not should be explained.
Concept introduction:
In a molecular geometry, the electrons involved in bonding are known as bond pairs and which are not involved in bonding are known as lone pairs. Due to the presence of these bond pairs and one pairs in the molecule, different type of repulsions and attractions can take place. Bond pair-bond pair, lone pair-lone pair and bond pair-lone pair. The lone pair- lone pair repulsions are strong among them. Due to these repulsions, bond angles of different bonds deviates from their expected value.
