The accuracy of the measuring device can only be judge by calibration of the device. Calibration is the method to perform measurement whose results is known. The instrument is adjusted such that its readings or measurement values give the correction factor so that subsequent readings after calibration can be corrected for the known instrument error. In calibration, the comparison of the measured values is done with the standard value of the known sample.
