Mayhem in Egypt! The events that took place before tonight are from my own observation. I, the first born of Pharaoh, give you all the information I can concerning the nine plagues that took place in Egypt, because my father would not let the Israelites go. I was talking with my father when two strange men came into the palace. The one man claimed himself to be Moses, and my father’s eyes darkened with anger. My father told me to leave but I was curious to see what might take place, so I hid behind the nearest pillar and listened. The man rambled on about God wanting my father to let our slaves, the Israelites, go or bad things would happen. God? Who is God? Neither my father nor I knew. I laughed a little because of the nonsense that this “Moses” was speaking. If our gods have never talked back to us, then why does he think that the Israelite’s God would speak to him? Moses came back as well as his friend and attempted the same thing they tried to do yesterday. I did not understand why, and then it got a little bit more interesting. During their next conversation, my father decided to challenge them to see if their God was real by showing him a miracle from God. Moses accepted, and told his friend to throw his rod on the floor, and when he did, it turned into a snake.
