Data is defined as useful raw material which is intended to be useful for both the originator and for the intended receiver. Data consists largely of facts and figures ideal for communicating the intended meaning. This data can be interpreted and can be categorised as follows;
I have learned the process of how the infection control data is reported not only to the Quality Department but also to other State and Government Agencies. The information is highly sensitive and contain patient specific information as well as non-publicly reported data. The Quality Coordinators extract this information from other data reporting systems such as QCentrix and ThreaDoc.
The internet is the basis of the digital age we are in. Should internet be free, or should it not be? With the growing need for internet, it is becoming more difficult for poor people and those who have no access to internet whatsoever to keep up, and are falling behind. I think that the internet should be free because not everyone is able to afford it, and some live in places where it doesn’t even exist. By making the internet free, our economy will also benefit off of it.
As a manager of my company’s web-design and web-hosting specialist and programmers, I need to satisfy the CEO’s request to improve the team’s performance. In order to accomplish this, I will develop a system of output control systems to assess performance through financial measures, organizational goals, and operating budgets. Furthermore, using financial measures of performance will evaluate performance through profit ratios, which measures how efficiently managers are using the organization’s resources. While generating profits, I will also be calculating the organization’s net income before taxes divided by its total assets, also known as return on investment. After calculating this, I will calculate the difference between the amount of revenue generated and the resources used to produce the product through a process called gross profit margin.
It is also a major responsibility of leaders and workers in labs to ensure their Safety Data Sheets are kept up to date and accurate in order to ensure they have accurate information about the chemicals being used. The potential inaccuracy of these sheets greatly surprised me while reading this chapter. It seems crazy to me that companies and people are legally required to have Safety Data Sheets, but there are no laws regarding the accuracy of these sheets. Therefore, one of my big takeaways from this chapter is to look for reliable Safety Data Sheets instead of always just using the first one I can find
One type of scientific data is COSHH record. COSHH record stands for control of substances hazardous to health, they contain information about health and safety for hazardous substances that are used in the workplace. This health and safety process is important as it ensures awareness and health and safety for hazardous substances that are used in the workplace. The people who are involved in using, storing and ordering of the substance e.g. technicians will have access and be able to change it whenever they would like to or need to in the technicians setting e.g. the control room using IT software.
Manufacturer’s data sheets are also created for chemicals used within the lab and give important information about the physical composition of the chemicals (e.g. the melting point and boiling point), toxicity, health effects, first aid precautions, reactivity, storage, disposal and the protective clothing and equipment needed when handling the chemicals.
Maintain data standards in health care are important such that sharing or collaborating the clinical and laboratory test results can bring effective health care delivery outcomes.
Gather appropriate governmental and industry standards: OSHA, NIOSH, EPA, NFPA. ANSI, ASTM, ANSI, FDA, ISO, ect.
The multiple GMP-compliant labs located in several operating groups of the client were unable to ensure data integrity across all their lab systems due to discrepancies in different lab instruments. The instruments like Spectrometer, Titrator, Microscopes, UV Vis had their own way of capturing electronic records and there was no control over data usage. In consequence, there were huge gaps in meeting the regulatory compliance needs.
Testing organizations such as ASTM International and trade organizations have reference data for materials and products they test or represent.
• Are there current standards or level for the data item that are needed? If not these need to be established.
